 The Petite Boutique des Illustrateurs* has been set up by two Enthusiasts of Children’s books – Michel Piquemal and Cendrine Genin – in close relationship with the artists themselves, together with the prestigious patronage of Nathalie Novi.
The aim of this space is to better introduce the work of current known, and less known children’s books illustrators, to offer them the opportunity of selling their original illustrations whose prices are often reasonable!
The Petite Boutique des Illustrateurs applies to private individuals, but also to the concerned institutions (educational, cultural…). Each one can get colour plates, gouaches, pastels, water colours, engravings, etchings or studies from the biggest names of the french illustration field (Georges Lemoine, Pef, Elodie Nouhen, Nicole Claveloux and many others), and many other young talented Illustrators of tomorrow. For each artist you will discover: the essential elements of their career, a brief outline of their biography, a bibliography, an interview and eventually, a calendar concerning the coming events (signature, exhibition…). The Petite Boutique des Illustrateurs is an association whose aim is to promote real artists and link those passionately interested with the creators. |

So that finally youth illustration will become recognized as an Art in itself. Every three months, we will be happy to share with you our heart selection about a confirmed Illustrator and we will spotlight a young Talent. You will also discover a brief history of children’s book illustration together with a specific glossary. Finally, you will find a calendar of events to come, regularly up-dated, as well as Internet links that you should find both agreeable and useful. |
